At Udon Shokunin Wa Seimenjo in Horenshō, Nara City, we host a unique Handmade Udon Cooking Class where Japanese locals and international guests enjoy cooking together.
On this day, a Japanese family and a couple from overseas joined the same session. Using Japanese and translation software, everyone learned how to knead, cut, and boil udon noodles — step by step.

Despite the language differences, the room was filled with laughter and smiles 😊
Participants enjoyed taking photos together and tasting their freshly made noodles with pride.

Instructor Masakazu Sakaguchi said, “It was quite a challenge to explain in both Japanese and English at the same time, but it turned out to be a wonderful and memorable experience.”
